That eBooks Smell

by tylershores on February 17, 2012

Finally.

Does your Kindle leave you feeling like there’s something missing from your reading experience?

Have you been avoiding e-books because they just don’t smell right?

If you’ve been hesitant to jump on the e-book bandwagon, you’re not alone. Book lovers everywhere have resisted digital books because they still don’t compare to the experience of reading a good old fashioned paper book.

But all of that is changing thanks to Smell of Books™, a revolutionary new aerosol e-book enhancer.

Now you can finally enjoy reading e-books without giving up the smell you love so much. With Smell of Books™ you can have the best of both worlds, the convenience of an e-book and the smell of your favorite paper book.

I’ll take Classic Musty Smell.

Shock and horror. Really, who are these people?

Oh, right, they are the Durosport Electronics Corporation.

I do like the idea of highjacking their chemical recipe for use as a perfume or aftershave, though. “He smelled of old books.” Nothing like that to impress on a first date.

Oh, Durosport…I smell something fishy:

I wonder if someone has actually done this, though, with the book smell?

I would buy a Olde Book Aftershave. Especially helpful for those fellows out there in the world who are hoping to attract the attentions of those bookish/librarian types …?

For what it’s worth, my Kindle Cover has a funky leather smell that somewhat reminds me of the dollar bin at the used bookstore.
